A full coverage powder foundation? I had to try this out as soon as I saw it on QVC. I believe it's a QVC exclusive item, I'm not exactly sure if this is coming out in stores or if it will be online only but it was definitely worth the purchase.

So you know those mineral foundations... really any loose powder foundation and the huge mess it makes when you use them, well don't expect a mess with this powder foundation. It comes with a very flexible mesh that allows for the right amount of powder to cling into the airbuki brush that it comes with making it a mess free, easy to apply powder.

The top lid comes with a plug that seals the mesh dispenser after it's closed. I've let this roam around in my purse, I've shaken this, and the lid definitely keeps the powder contained inside. The airbuki brush is soft but very dense and a comfortable handle to grip making the application flawless and mess-free.

The actual powder foundation feels cooling to the skin, it has illuminating properties and feels lightweight. In the picture above I applied the Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush foundation to the bottom half of my hand. It covered the blue veins in my hand as well as evened out the redness.
You can build up this foundation or sheer it out with a light application. I love this foundation but there is one thing that I definitely need to mention, if you have very dry skin this foundation might not be the right option for you. I would recommend this foundation for normal to oily skin that does not have acne scarring or large pores. The foundation covers redness and pigmentation issues like a dream. If you have extremely dry skin or dry patches you might want to skip as this foundation will accentuate and not apply evenly over those areas. TIP: If you have large pores or acne scarring this foundation will work well as long as you use a good face primer to even the skin out.
The Tarte Amazonian Clay Full coverage foundation can be found on QVC in 6 shades: Fair, Light, light-Medium, Medium, Tan and Deep
It retails for $43.50 but it's listed at $39.84 on QVC with $4.97S&H
Have you tried the Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush foundation by Tarte?
Cheers!

What color MAC shade are you? Would you recommend this color for someone who wears MAC NC 20?
ReplyDeleteHello.
DeleteI would recommend the shade or two lighter than the one mentioned above. My skincolor varies by season since I tend to get quite pale in the winter and quite dark in the summer. When I purchased this product I was around NC30. I've gotten quite dark so I have to use a bit of bronzer all over my face to make it work the rest of summer. At the moment I'm a mix of Warm Natural and Honey in Bobbi Brown which is definitely not a good match for light-medium above.
There are 4 lighter shades available, I would suggest one to two shades lighter if you are an NC20. best advice is to go to a Sephora, if you can, and test the product out.
The great thing about Tarte is their shade selection, they have so many to choose from that even a very fair shade can find a good match in the Airbrush Foundation line.
Thank you very much for your input. Much appreciated.
