Two days ago I ran across the new Revlon display at my local CVS, as a lipstick lover obviously I gravitated towards the display and immediately grabbed what I thought would be two dupes and a gloss shade I didn't have in my collection.
I did forget to take a picture of the display but if I happen to be by CVS, I'll make sure to snap a photo and edit this posting.
First and foremost, I LOVE Revlon lipsticks and they happen to be one of my drugstore faves when it comes to pigmentation, comfort, and longevity. I'll begin with the lipstick which is a Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink Cognito 820 in the finish Shine. I've never had any lipstick finish described as shine, I would compare this lipstick to a MAC creamsheene finish lipstick. It has a shine to it with some coverage.

The picture above shows the lipstick swatched on the top and the two glosses in the bottom. I was a bit disappointed with the pigmentation of Sugar Violet but I will get to that a little later in this post. Revlon's lipstick in Pink Cognito, I thought was for sure a dupe to Estee Lauders Crystal Baby... when I purchased this lipstick, I just couldn't wait to get home and see it for myself.
When it came too Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Super Natural it was love at first swipe. I love how lovely this lip gloss feels on my lips and the color payoff (for it's shade) is pretty nice without making you look dead. With a hint of pink this is the perfect gloss to apply on it's own or over both Revlon's Pink Cognito or Estee Lauder Crystal Baby. It's not sticky, doesn't creep around my fine lines, and feels amazing on my lips.

I was a bit sad to find out that the shades are not a dupe but are very similar in texture, glossiness, and in the same color family. Revlon's Pink Cognito is just a shade lighter but has the same luxurious quality that Estee Lauders' Crystal Baby. I hope to one day find an exact dupe since the price points of both of these products are in two different price spectrums for me. Revlon's lipstick is a mere $8.49 and on sale while Estee Lauders lipstick is $25.00. I would say that on my lips both are undetectably the same shade; however, swatted on my hand the Revlon is clearly a bit lighter while Crystal Baby is a bit deeper. If your on a budget, the Revlon lipstick would be the closest I've seen to a possible dupe to Estee Lauders' beautiful Crystal Baby lipstick.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Sugar Violet was what I thought a perfect match (in the tube) for MAC's gloss in Funtabulous, I was so wrong! On the tube it looks beautiful and appears to be a perfect match but when swatched you almost feel like it's a magic trick and someone has given you a different gloss wand. There is hardly any pigmentation and barely any of the fine glitter. Compared to MAC's incredibly pigmented the Revlon lipgloss doesn't live up to the beautifulness that appears on the tube. Unlike the other Revlon lip gloss, this one is a bit stickier and applies unevenly. Unless your applying this to a vibrant lipstick to give it a bit more gloss, I would pass on this shade and get Wet N' Wild clear gloss and save your money.
I truly love Revlon's products specially their lip products, unfortunately I was a bit dissatisfied with Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Sugar Violet. The display had a wide range of glosses both glittery and creamsheene glass finishes, I am leaning more towards the creamsheene glass finishes as they are better pigmented and feel less sticky on the lips.
